VTCC operates with the philosophy that the family home provides the optimal environment in which most children can thrive, develop and mature into successful adults and that maintaining troubled children within their homes through intensive treatment efforts and, when necessary, a cross cultural approach, benefits not only them and their families, but the interests of the larger community.
It is the mission of VTCC to provide effective cross cultural home based services and treatment to Hispanic and African American families whose children are experiencing significant behavioral or emotional difficulties or have been subjected to abuse or neglect and are at high risk of being removed from the family home.
